R.I.P. Flappy Bird

In May of 2013, a private entrepreneur released a game by the name of Flappy Bird. Flappy Bird did not reach it's true popularity until around December. It was widely known for being for addictive and very agitating. The game had about 50 million downloads before it was taken down. Flappu Bird was a platform game that looked exactly like Mario in my opinion. You had to push on the screen and the bird would flap its wings. You had to navigate between two pipes that looked exactly like something from Mario and there was a very small space between the pipes. Each time that you tapped the screen the bird would go up a little bit, but it was like there was a 1,000 pound dead weight on it.
The game was eventually taken down on February 9th. There was several reasons why the inventor took the game down, but I know that he had received thousands of hate messages a day. Not only that, but there was a killing over the game on who could get the higher score. There was two teenagers, one 17, one 16. They were playing a head to head game to see who could get the higher score. The older brother won and so the younger brother took a knife, stabbed his 17 year old brother 17 times, when his high score was 17. The inventor never said the exact reason why he took it down, but he did say "I can't take it anymore."
